Meet Dr. Kulreet Chaudhary, a neurologist, neuroscientist and leader in the field of Sound Medicine and the ancient medical science known as Ayurveda. This rare combination of expertise gives her a unique perspective on healing that has helped thousands of people feel better and achieve health goals they never thought possible. She is passionate about raising awareness for the need of a paradigm shift in contemporary medicine that focuses on patient empowerment and a wellness-based (rather than disease-based) medical system. Dr. Chaudhary is author of the highly rated books The Prime and Sound Medicine and was a regular guest on The Dr. Oz Show and Home & Family where her teachings about Ayurvedic medicine have been applauded by a national audience.
A pioneer in the field of Integrative Medicine, Dr. Chaudhary served as Director of Wellspring Health in Scripps Memorial Hospital for ten years where she combined conventional treatments with critical changes in diet, lifestyle behaviors and stress management to help patients more effectively manage chronic neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease and migraine headaches. Her program was so successful that it’s now used for a wide range of health concerns, including weight issues and chronic disease.
In addition to her decades as a practitioner and educator, Dr. Chaudhary remains committed to advancing medical research and has participated in over 20 clinical studies in the areas of multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, ALS and diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Her contributions include groundbreaking work in stem cell therapies for diabetic peripheral neuropathy and drug development for the treatment of ALS, as well as hands-on discoveries of ancient Siddha Medicine texts in Tamil Nadu, India.
Following a prolonged stay in India while further researching Ayurvedic medicine, Dr. Chaudhary felt called to integrate the traditional science of Ayurveda with modern clinical research in a whole new way that incorporated sound medicine and the science of mantras. This approach helps her patients, and the broader population, achieve truly transformative health results in the midst of modern world realities. In 2022 she founded Prajna Ayurveda in partnership with Healthy Directions to bring this vision to life, and the result is a first-of-its-kind collection of Ayurvedic based nutritional formulas designed to address the myriad of health challenges exacerbated by today’s stressful, draining lifestyles and environmental changes. Each formulation in the Prajna Ayurveda line has an ancient Sanskrit mantra, traditionally used for healing, written directly on the bottle to signify the importance of incorporating sound therapy with the use of Ayurvedic herbal supplements.
The principles of health and personal transformation Dr. Chaudhary has prescribed and personally followed for over two decades are more essential today than ever before, with solid evidence showing the powerful role they can play in preventing and improving a wide range of health concerns. Prajna Ayurveda represents a new chapter in her story as a doctor, healer, sound medicine expert and educator, as well as an exciting new harmony between Ayurveda, mantra meditation and modern nutritional science.
